Working with PDF documents, at first glance, is quite easy, yet limited. At PDF2Go, we strive to show you, that there is so much more you can do with your PDF! From editing to conversion, your PDF can be whatever you want and need it to be!
Below, you can find information on how to use PDF together with Microsoft Word files (such as DOC and DOCX). Of course, you can also use this when working with LibreOffice ODT files.
Let’s find out how to insert PDF into Word documents!
Three Methods Of PDF Insertion
There are three easy ways how you can insert your PDF document into a Word file. There are more, of course, but the three we explored below are the main ones.
Insert PDF Using The Program
Whether you are using Microsoft Word or LibreOffice Writer, the method of inserting a PDF is fairly similar. When working with Word, follow these steps:
- Open the Word document
- Click on Insert > Object… > From File…
- Choose your PDF file and click on Insert
- The PDF will then be inserted into the Word document
When working with LibreOffice, the process is quite similar. Check it out:
- Open the ODT document
- Click on Insert > Object > OLE Object…
- In the next windows, choose Further objects and click on OK
- In the next window, choose Create from File
- Navigate to your PDF document using Browse, then click on OK
- The PDF will be inserted in your LibreOffice document
Insert The PDF As An Image
This method works for all kinds of word processing software as well as image editing programs.
All you need is your PDF and a PDF to image converter such as:
Once you did so, you can easily insert the image(s) into your document, resize them, move them, and more.
Convert PDF Directly To Word
The one disadvantage of the two methods above is that you have images of the PDF inside your word. What if you want to work with the text of the PDF though?
Easy, then all you have to do is turn your PDF document into a DOC, DOCX, ODT or another document format. You can do so very easily using one of the following converters:
After that, you will have the contents of the PDF, including images and everything, but in the format you need!
